Affiliated Clubs 22 April 2008 |
The list of clubs affiliated to the West DC has been updated. Orgasnisers are reminded that they need to check that riders belong to an affiliated club, both for open and club events, and that a start sheet should be sent to the District Treasurer and Open Events Secretary before the event.

|
WTTA Hilly on 6 April 22 March 2008 |
The organiser is aware that there are temporary traffic lights on the B4042, for a retaining wall rebuild. These are at a point on the U87 which is covered 3 times by riders.
They are scheduled to be completed on 28 March, therefore, the WTTA Hilly will be taking place on 6 April as planned.
There are contingency plans for a shortened course as an out and back from Malmesbury to Wootten Bassett. The start can safely be located near Cowbridge and the finish can be located at the top of the hill before the descent to Cowbridge.
Since this hilly is a non-standard distance event, this should not affect hard-riders points.

From Phil Heaton, National Secretary 31 January 2008 |
It is with regret that Cycling Time Trials has to announce that it will not be continuing with the Internet Entry System that it has been developing.
Although it was well advanced and near to completion when demonstrated to delegates at the National Council meeting last December, there have been a number of issues that are now preventing us from taking the system any further.
National Committee wish to thank Wayne Holton for all the extra work he had taken on to try and get the system off the ground.
Cycling Time Trials will be meeting with an External Provider in order to see if they can provide a system for Internet Entries that fits our requirements.
If discussions prove to be beneficial Cycling Time Trials will contact all those event organisers that had indicated they were willing to accept entries by this method to see if they are happy to use the system of an External Provider.
Organisers that had not previously indicated they were willing to accept entries in this way will be able to opt in at any time by initially contacting Keith Lawton.
Organisers details will not be passed to any third party without prior agreement.
CLUB EVENT SIGNS
Despatch of packs of 10 small warning signs to clubs running Club Events, as directed by the Districts, is now underway. In addition packs of signs to mark the start area and finish boards have been sent to each District Secretary. These are to be issued to your “busiest” timekeepers for use at the events they time. |

2008 Event amendment 26 January 2008 |
The Gloucester event, a 10 scheduled for July 26th, Saturday at 5pm, is to be changed to 7am morning as the organiser cannot book the usual hall (Bradstone pavilion) and the rather poor reserve has been burnt down!
Unavialability is due to cricket match. Other event organisers using this course or HQ are urged to book the HQ well in advance. |
|
2008 Event amendments 18 January 2008 |
Bath Hardriders (23/3/08) organiser has been taken ill and will be unable to host the event. No other person has been found who can take over so it has been cancelled.
Bath 10 (3/5/08), HQ could only be booked for the morning so the event is being rescheduled to start at 8am.
